Description

A refreshing and nutritious Banana & Berry Smoothie combining the natural sweetness of ripe banana, mixed frozen berries, creamy Greek yogurt, and tangy pomegranate juice, lightly sweetened with honey. Perfect for a quick breakfast or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

Fruit

  • 1 frozen ripe banana, peeled and cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces
  • 1 cup frozen berries

Dairy

  • ½ cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt

Liquids

  • ½ cup pomegranate juice, plus more if necessary

Sweeteners

  • 4 teaspoons honey

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Peel and cut the frozen ripe banana into 1-inch pieces to ensure easy blending and a smooth texture.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender: Place the banana pieces, frozen berries, low-fat plain Greek yogurt, pomegranate juice, and honey into your blender.
  3. Blend Smooth: Purée the mixture until completely smooth. Depending on your blender, stop occasionally to stir the mixture to help it blend more evenly.
  4. Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick to your liking, add 2 tablespoons more pomegranate juice and blend again until you achieve the desired consistency.
  5. Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately while cold and fresh.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, use full-fat Greek yogurt instead of low-fat.
  • You can substitute pomegranate juice with other fruit juices like orange or apple if preferred.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey depending on your taste.
  • To make it vegan, replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar and use a dairy-free yogurt alternative.
