Perfect for holiday entertaining or any special occasion, they combine festive flavors with an elegant bite-sized presentation.
Ingredients
Pastry
- Cooking spray, for greasing
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1 tube crescent dough
Filling
- 1 wheel of Brie cheese
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup finely chopped roasted, unsalted pecans
- 6 rosemary sprigs, cut into 1-inch pieces
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Muffin Tin: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and position a rack in the center. Grease a mini 24-cup muffin tin thoroughly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Crescent Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the crescent dough and pinch the seams together to form a uniform sheet. Cut the dough into 24 equal squares. Press each square gently into the cups of the prepared muffin tin to form little dough cups.
- Add Filling: Cut the Brie wheel into small pieces that will fit inside each dough cup. Place one piece into each dough-lined cup. Spoon a generous amount of whole berry cranberry sauce over the Brie, then sprinkle with finely chopped roasted pecans. Top each bite with a small piece of rosemary for a fragrant finish.
- Bake the Bites: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake until the pastry turns golden brown and the Brie is melted, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use a mild Brie cheese for a more subtle flavor or a stronger Brie if preferred.
- Whole berry cranberry sauce adds texture; for a smoother option, use cranberry relish or jam.
- Make sure to grease the muffin tin well to avoid sticking.
- These bites are best served warm but can be stored in the refrigerator and gently reheated before serving.
- For a nuttier flavor, you can toast the pecans lightly before chopping.
