Description

This easy and elegant summer dessert features fresh peaches grilled to perfection and topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and a luscious homemade bourbon caramel sauce. Ready in just 10 minutes, it's the ideal way to celebrate peach season with a delightful combination of smoky, sweet, and boozy flavors.

Ingredients

Grilled Peaches

  • 4 fresh peaches, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (or any neutral-flavored oil)

Toppings

  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving
  • Bourbon caramel sauce, prepared according to recipe

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bourbon caramel sauce. Follow your favorite recipe or prepare a bourbon caramel sauce beforehand, ensuring it is warm and ready to serve with the grilled peaches.
  2. Heat the grill or grill pan. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat to achieve nice char marks on your peaches.
  3. Brush peaches with oil. Lightly brush the cut sides of the halved peaches with avocado oil to prevent sticking and enhance caramelization.
  4. Grill the peaches. Place the peaches cut-side-down on the hot grill and cook for 3-4 minutes until they develop light grill marks and are slightly softened. Flip the peaches and grill the skin side for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Assemble and serve. Transfer the grilled peaches to serving bowls with the cut side up, top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle generously with bourbon caramel sauce, and serve immediately while the ice cream remains cold.

Notes

  • You can substitute avocado oil with any neutral oil such as grapeseed or vegetable oil.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, use caramel sauce without bourbon or substitute bourbon with vanilla extract.
  • Peaches should be ripe but firm to hold their shape on the grill.
  • Grill times may vary based on your equipment; watch closely to avoid burning.
  • This dessert pairs wonderfully with toasted pecans or a sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor and texture.
