Description

This homemade Big Mac wrap recreates the iconic flavors of a Big Mac in a convenient, handheld tortilla wrap form. Featuring a special tangy sauce, seasoned ground beef, melty American cheese, crunchy pickles, and fresh lettuce all wrapped in a soft tortilla, this recipe offers a delicious twist on a classic burger that's perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp White vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 4 large Tortilla wraps
  • 2 cups Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 4 slices American cheese (tear into smaller pieces)
  • 1/2 cup Dill pickle slices
  • 1/4 cup Diced white or yellow onion
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until smooth. Set aside to let the flavors meld while you cook the beef.
  2. Brown the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lean ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink. Remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat on your counter. Add a layer of shredded iceberg lettuce down the center, then top with the warm cooked ground beef. Tear pieces of American cheese over the beef so it begins to melt. Add diced onion and dill pickle slices, then drizzle generously with the prepared Big Mac sauce.
  4. Fold and Serve: Fold the sides of the tortilla in over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom to secure the wrap. For extra crispiness, toast the wrap seam-side down in a dry skillet for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned. Slice in half and serve immediately while the cheese is melty and warm.

Notes

  • To enhance the flavor of the beef, consider adding a touch of Worcestershire sauce or garlic to the seasoning.
  • Using freshly shredded iceberg lettuce adds the perfect crunch that contrasts with the warm ingredients.
  • If you prefer, the wraps can be wrapped in foil and warmed in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes before serving for an alternative to skillet toasting.
  • You can substitute American cheese with cheddar or your favorite melting cheese if desired.
  • Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
