Description

This Homemade Cookies and Cream Creamer is a sweet, creamy addition to your morning coffee or tea. Made with Hershey's Cookies and Creme Bar, whole milk, sugar, and Oreo cookies, this rich and flavorful creamer is easy to prepare on the stovetop, then blended to a smooth consistency. It offers a delightful cookies and cream flavor that can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 7 oz Hershey's Cookies and Creme Bar (about 4 ½ of the 1.55 oz bars)
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Break up the cookies and creme chocolate bars into their individual pieces and place them in a medium saucepan. Add the milk, sugar, and Oreo cookies to the pan.
  2. Heat and Dissolve: Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking frequently until the chocolate is fully dissolved and the Oreo cookies have broken down and started to disintegrate. Small chocolate cookie pieces from the chocolate bar will float to the top during this process.
  3. Blend: Remove the saucepan from heat. Carefully pour the hot mixture into a blender and blend until the creamer is smooth and consistent.
  4. Cool and Store: Allow the creamer to cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Then transfer it to a mason jar or airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. Use within 7 days for best freshness.

Notes

  • Use whole milk for the creamiest texture; you can substitute with lower-fat milk if desired but the texture will be less rich.
  • Blending ensures a smooth creamer by breaking down cookie pieces thoroughly.
  • Always store in an airtight container in the fridge to maintain freshness.
  • Shake well before each use, as some separation may occur.
  • For a dairy-free version, experiment with almond or oat milk but note flavor and texture changes.
