Description

A refreshing and vibrant Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte featuring a homemade strawberry syrup paired with ceremonial grade matcha and your choice of milk. This easy-to-make 4-serving drink combines fruity sweetness with the delicate, earthy flavor of matcha, served chilled over ice – perfect for a revitalizing summer treat.

Ingredients

Strawberry Syrup

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ¼ cup granulated monk fruit sweetener

Matcha Mixture

  • 1 tablespoon ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • ⅓ cup hot water

Final Assembly

  • ¾ cup milk of choice (cashew milk recommended)
  • Ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup: Add the strawberries and monk fruit sweetener to a blender and blend until smooth. If a blender is unavailable, mash the strawberries thoroughly by hand until the mixture is smooth enough to sip through a straw.
  2. Make the Matcha: In a small bowl, whisk together the ceremonial grade matcha powder and hot water for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth and free of clumps.
  3. Assemble the Latte: Pour the strawberry syrup into the bottom of a glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes to your preference.
  4. Add Milk and Matcha: Pour your milk of choice over the ice, then slowly add the whisked matcha on top.
  5. Finish and Serve: Add more ice if desired, gently stir to combine the layers into a swirl effect, and enjoy your iced strawberry matcha latte immediately.

Notes

  • Use ceremonial grade matcha for the best flavor and smooth texture.
  • Monk fruit sweetener is a low-calorie alternative to sugar, but you may substitute with regular sugar or other sweeteners if preferred.
  • This recipe is easily customizable by using any milk alternative such as almond, oat, or cow's milk.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the best flavor and freshness.
  • For a smoother strawberry syrup, strain the blended mixture before using if desired.
