Description

This Nutella Yogurt Bark is a delightful and easy-to-make frozen treat combining creamy whole milk vanilla yogurt with rich Nutella spread, sprinkled with mini chocolate chips, chopped strawberries, and crushed vanilla wafers. Perfect for a refreshing snack or dessert, this bark offers a wonderful balance of chocolate, fruit, and crunchy textures.

Ingredients

Base

  • 1/3 cup Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 2/3 cup whole milk vanilla yogurt

Toppings

  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons chopped strawberries
  • 3 vanilla wafers, crushed

Instructions

  1. Combine Nutella and Yogurt: In a medium bowl, stir together the Nutella and whole milk vanilla yogurt until completely blended and smooth, ensuring an even chocolate flavor throughout the mixture.
  2. Spread the Mixture: Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper. Pour the Nutella-yogurt mixture onto the parchment and spread it out evenly into a thin layer using a spatula, aiming for uniform thickness to ensure even freezing.
  3. Add Toppings: Generously sprinkle the mini chocolate chips, chopped strawberries, and crushed vanilla wafers evenly over the surface of the spread mixture, pressing down lightly to help them adhere.
  4. Freeze the Bark: Place the tray in the freezer and freeze completely for at least 4 hours or until the bark is firm and solid.
  5. Break into Pieces: Once frozen, remove the bark from the freezer, lift the parchment paper from the tray, and break the bark into irregular pieces to serve. Keep any leftovers stored in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • Use whole milk vanilla yogurt for creaminess; Greek yogurt can be a thicker substitute but may alter texture.
  • Feel free to customize toppings with your favorite nuts, dried fruits, or seeds.
  • The bark is best consumed within one week for optimal freshness.
  • If Nutella is too thick to mix easily, warm it slightly to soften.
  • Ensure the bark is spread thinly and evenly for easy breaking and consistent freezing.
