Description

These Pull-Apart Heart Cinnamon Rolls are a festive and fun twist on classic cinnamon rolls, shaped into a heart perfect for Valentine's Day or any special occasion. Made by cutting and re-rolling jumbo cinnamon rolls into mini pieces and baking them together, this recipe yields a delicious, shareable treat topped with sweet icing and colorful Valentine’s sprinkles.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 (17.5 ounce) cans Grands! Cinnamon Rolls (10 rolls total)
  • Icing, from the cinnamon roll cans
  • Valentine’s themed sprinkles (such as red sanding sugar and Valentine’s jimmies mix)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the cinnamon rolls evenly.
  2. Create Heart Shape Base: Cut a heart shape out of a 10×8-inch sheet of parchment paper and place it on a baking sheet large enough to hold the shape.
  3. Prep Cinnamon Rolls: Unroll each cinnamon roll on a large cutting board and cut each one into four equal strips about 4 inches in length.
  4. Re-roll Strips: Roll each strip back into a tight mini cinnamon roll, creating approximately 40 mini rolls from the original 10 rolls.
  5. Arrange Rolls: Place the mini cinnamon rolls close together on the heart-shaped parchment paper, forming a heart pattern.
  6. Bake: Bake the assembled rolls for 18-20 minutes at 350°F, rotating the pan halfway through, until the tops are golden brown.
  7. Ice the Rolls: Remove from the oven and drizzle the icing from the cinnamon roll cans over the heart-shaped rolls. Use a spreader to cover the entire heart evenly.
  8. Decorate: Sprinkle Valentine’s-themed decorations such as red sanding sugar and jimmies on top of the icing for a festive look.
  9. Serve: Serve the pull-apart heart cinnamon rolls warm and enjoy the gooey, sweet treat with family and friends.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • Rotating the pan halfway through baking ensures even browning.
  • The mini rolls bake faster than full-sized, so monitor them closely to avoid burning.
  • Customize sprinkles according to any holiday or occasion by swapping sprinkles.
  • Serve warm for the best texture and flavor experience.
